For someone who would otherwise be unable to afford a home working with Habitat for Humanity towards home ownership is a dream come true; doing it themselves provides dignity. For their children it provides safety, security, stability. David C. Mandeville’s leadership remains inspiring to the Community Foundation board, staff and grant panelists. Like Mandeville, the Community Foundation is able to demonstrate and encourage philanthropy in a variety of ways.
